The Aireys Inlet to Eastern View Structure Plan identified the need for a safe pedestrian crossing point between the bottom shops and skatepark /playground area in Aireys Inlet.

Council is constructing the crossing point on the Great Ocean Road. Works started 29 May 2017 and are expected to be completed by 30 June 2017.

Thank you to people who provided feedback on the landscaping of the area. Landscaping plans were developed based on input from ANGAIR and the community.

Community feedback told us:

  • To retain as much existing landscaping as possible
  • To top up with new vegetation where required

The existing landscaping will be cut back to the minimum extent that will enable the construction works to proceed. Plants will be assessed by experts to determine which ones can be retained, and what pruning is required.
